Kandy, the city that holds the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha!
This great city is located in the central province and is considered one of the largest cities in Sri Lanka. It was the last Kingdom of the Kings’ era and therefore holds much historical value and essence. Thus a city tour of Kandy is a must if you’re visiting this wonderful city which has so much to offer.
We start in the morning and leave to Pinnawela to visit the Elephant Orphanage where you can see how these elephants are fed, trained and bathed.
Leave to the city of Kandy, the capital of the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. You will have the opportunity to visit the temple of the tooth relic which is considered a world heritage and is located next to the Bogambara Lake.
After the visit to the Temple of the tooth you will be witnessing one of the most glamorous cultural dances of Sri Lanka “The Kandyan Dance”.
Visit the “Royal Botanical Gardens” of Peradeniya which is located right next to the great sandy river, “River Mahaweli” which is also the longest river in Sri Lanka. The royal botanical garden is home for many different herbal plants, trees and also a vast range of orchids. While on your visit there, the garden will definitely take your breath away.

: Visit the Gem house, lapidary, wood carving center, Kandy arts and crafts center and visit the Kandy view point which offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the whole of the city of Kandy (the view is most beautiful in the evenings).
