Day 1
Welcome to Sri Lanka!
With a warm welcome to the tropical paradise of Sri Lanka travel to Negombo, the city of Catamarans. Your driver for the tour will take you to your hotel where you could freshen up and then go for a walk along the beach road, visit the fruit and vegetable market, see the Dutch built canals or if you’re tired after the flight, you can simply relax on the beach or at your hotel and get rid of any jet lag.

Day 2
Rise and Shine!
After breakfast at Negombo, travel to the ancient city of Anuradhapura which dates back to the 4th century BC. This city, which was once a great empire, is home to many structures of architectural value and historical value which now emphasize the true Sri Lankan heritage.
In the evening, drive back to Sigiriya

Day 3
Good Morning!
In the morning leave to Sigiriya, where the world heritage Rock fortress is located. On the way, visit the “Dambulla Rock Cave Temple” which is also known as the “Golden Temple” which dates back to the 1st century BC. In the evening you will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the Sigiriya Rock fortress which was built by king Kashyapa and enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunset.

Day 4
Good Morning!
After breakfast leave to the kingdom of Polonnaruwa, a city of ancient relics. This kingdom dates back to 8th century BC where it was built as the 5th Administrative center of the kingdom of Rajarata. You will have the opportunity to view the ancient relics, the ancient architecture and artifacts of this ancient city which was once a great kingdom. (You can visit the kingdom of Polonnaruwa by Bicycles as well)
After lunch relax for a while and go on an elephant back Safari at Habarana. Elephant back safaris have been one of the most famous and exciting activities among people visiting Sri Lanka. You will be able to view the surrounding nature from on top of a tamed elephant.

Day 5
Rise and Shine!

After breakfast at Sigiriya, go for a village tour which emphasizes the true beauty of the life of traditional Sri Lankans. The tour includes a bullock cart ride through the village, a boat ride in a traditional canoe while the boatman plays sweet melodies with a flute, and a traditional Sri Lankan meal (the meal could be upon your preference). elephants pnnawala
Visit the “Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage” On your way to Kandy, you will have the opportunity to visit the Elephant Orphanage where you can see how these elephants are fed, trained and bathed.

Day 6
Good Morning!
In the morning, leave to Kandy, the capital of the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. You will have the opportunity to visit the temple of the tooth relic which is considered a world heritage and is located next to the Bogambara Lake.
After the visit to the Temple of the tooth you will be witnessing one of the most glamorous cultural dances of Sri Lanka “The Kandyan Dance”. peradeniya
Visit the “Royal Botanical Gardens” of Peradeniya which is located right next to the great sandy river, “River Mahaweli” which is also the longest river in Sri Lanka. The royal botanical garden is home for many different herbal plants, trees and also a vast range of orchids. While on your visit there, the garden will definitely take your breath away.

Day 7
Welcome to a day travelling to the heart of tea country!
After an early breakfast, leave to Nuwara-eliya, the heart of the tea country where the finest tea in Sri Lanka is produced. You will have the opportunity to visit a tea estate and a tea factory and also to sip up a cup of Sri Lanka’s finest tea while enjoying a delicious piece of chocolate cake.
Along the way to Nuwara-eliya you will be able to see many waterfalls as well.

Day 8
Rise and Shine!
Have your breakfast at Nuwara-eliya and then ride the train to Ella through the most beautiful surroundings. The railway track from Nuwara-eliya to Ella falls through tea plantations passes by waterfalls and through tunnels and will be sure to give you an experience that you will never forget a lifetime. spa
In the evening you will have the opportunity to visit an Aurvedic spa in order to have an Ayurvedic massage and a herbal bath which would cleanse not only your body but your soul as well.

Day 9
Good Morning!
Early in the morning you’ll be leaving to Yala National park which is one of the most famous National reserves in Sri Lanka. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to visit Rawana Ella falls.
Visit the Yala National Park by Jeep for a Jeep safari from which you could get a splendid view of the whole of the national park and also you could get really close to the animals that are freely moving about.

Day 10 & 11
Rise and Shine!
Set off after breakfast to one of the most beautiful beaches in Sri Lanka, the Mirissa Beach. This beach will surely take your breath away as you step into its white sandy shore, allowing you to simply relax and forget about the fast moving world lying behind you.

Welcome to a day viewing the largest mammal on earth!
In the morning go for a whale watching tour at Mirissa. Get in the boat which is arranged for your whale watching tour and watch the blue whales and spinner dolphins just a few meters away from the boat.
Once your return from your whale watching tour, have lunch and leisure on the beach in the evening

Day 13
Good Morning!
Leave to the coastal city of Galle in the morning, which with pride holds the ancient Dutch fort which was fortified in the 17th century. The fort itself has so much to offer such as the Dutch Reformed Church; the old Dutch government house; the National Maritime Museum near the Old Gate, residence of the Commander; Great Warehouse built around 1669 to store spices, ship equipment and so forth; the Meera Mosque built in 1904; Buddhist temple built at the site of Portuguese Roman Catholic church; the All Saints Anglican Church built in 1871; and the Clock Tower dated 1707 and cast in 1709, which rang every hour.
Madu river
Go on a boat safari in the Madu river which is situated within a mangrove forest rich in its biodiversity. You’ll be able to see a variety of flora and fauna along this tour.
