Day 1
Welcome to Sri Lanka!
Negombo
With a warm welcome to the tropical paradise of Sri Lanka travel to Negombo, the city of Catamarans. Your driver for the tour will take you to your hotel where you could freshen up and then go for a walk along the beach road, visit the fruit and vegetable market, see the Dutch built canals or if you’re tired after the flight, you can simply relax on the beach or at your hotel and get rid of any jet lag.

Day 2
Good Morning!

In the morning leave to Sigiriya, where the world heritage Rock fortress is located. On the way, visit the “Dambulla Rock Cave Temple” which is also known as the “Golden Temple” which dates back to the 1st century BC. In the evening you will have the opportunity to climb to the top of the Sigiriya Rock fortress which was built by king Kashyapa and enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunset.

Day 3
Rise and Shine!

After breakfast at Negombo, travel to the ancient city of Anuradhapura which dates back to the 4th century BC. This city, which was once a great empire, is home to many structures of architectural value and historical value which now emphasize the true Sri Lankan heritage.
In the evening, drive back to Sigiriya

Day 4
Good Morning!
Polonnaruwa
After breakfast leave to the kingdom of Polonnaruwa, a city of ancient relics. This kingdom dates back to 8th century BC where it was built as the 5th Administrative center of the kingdom of Rajarata. You will have the opportunity to view the ancient relics, the ancient architecture and artifacts of this ancient city which was once a great kingdom. (You can visit the kingdom of Polonnaruwa by Bicycles as well)

After lunch relax for a while and go on an elephant back Safari at Habarana. Elephant back safaris have been one of the most famous and exciting activities among people visiting Sri Lanka. You will be able to view the surrounding nature from on top of a tamed elephant.

Day 5
Good morning!

After breakfast at Sigiriya, go for a village tour which emphasizes the true beauty of the life of traditional Sri Lankans. The tour includes a bullock cart ride through the village, a boat ride in a traditional canoe while the boatman plays sweet melodies with a flute, and a traditional Sri Lankan meal (the meal could be upon your preference). Leave to Kandy in the afternoon, the capital of the last kingdom of Sri Lanka. You will have the opportunity to visit the temple of the tooth relic which is considered a world heritage and is located next to the Bogambara Lake.

After the visit to the Temple of the tooth you will be witnessing one of the most glamorous cultural dances of Sri Lanka “The Kandyan Dance”.

Day 6
Rise and Shine!

It’s almost the end of the tour and your tour would not be complete without a visit to the “Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage”. Therefore, on your way to Negombo, you will have the opportunity to visit the Elephant Orphanage where you can see how these elephants are fed, trained and bathed.
Relax in the evening at Negombo and prepare for the flight the next day

As all good things come to an end, with a heart-felt Good Bye, leave to the airport to connect to the flight.
